17th September 2012: Albury Conservation Company Community Grants Program (2012/13) – successful applicants announced.
The successful grant recipients of the inaugural Albury Conservation Company’s community grants program have been announced for 2012/13. They are:
- Study – Understanding Thurgoona Wirlinga Community Knowledge and values of biodiversity (Charles Sturt University)
- Honours student project – Survey of Hollow-bearing trees and relationships with threatened fauna (Charles Sturt University)
- Nest Box Inventory at the National Environment Centre (Parklands Albury Wodonga)
- Glider Project at the Lake Hume Spillway Area (year 1 of 2 year program) – surveys, nest boxes, revegetation (Woolshed Thurgoona Landcare Group)
- Biodiversity Plantings – Kerr Sustainability Centre – Green Adventure People (GAP) Club of Charles Sturt University
- Thurgoona Golf Course Conservation Works – nest boxes, revegetation, habitat mapping (Thurgoona Country Club Resort)
- Revegetation of Little Budginingi Hill at Tabletop (Joe Esler)
